tablished by the Information and Educational Exchange Act of 1948. The Act established the basic framework for university exchange visits and was incorporated and expanded into the Equal Educational and Cultural Exchange Act of 1961, to which the Exchange Visiting Scholar Program was enacted as an amendment.

Every year, thousands of Chinese students use the summer vacation on J-1 cultural exchange visiting scholar visas to enter U.S. companies for short-term social practice lasting 8 to 14 weeks. Students participate in the program as legal taxpayers in the United States corporate paid practice. The project is fully supervised by the US government and enjoys medical and accident insurance. After the end of the program, students have a one-month legal stay (Grace Period). Students can travel in the United States, contact American culture, visit universities, learn languages, make friends, exchange culture, and arrange their own schedule according to their own preferences.
