Qingdao, a coastal city known as the "Island of music", is attracting numerous music lovers and tourists with its rich musical culture. This city, which integrates the beauty of China and also accepts the view of the world, has a strong Marine cultural element. Through music (percussion instruments), "Journey to the Island" expresses the adventure story of "the island" yearning for the East and constantly moving forward, and encourages children to firmly dream, with courage and fear of difficulties in the process of growing up. The play shapes different characters and expresses different story emotions through different percussion instruments and musical themes. Finally, the island takes the eastern seaport city "Qingdao" as its home, which also means the convergence and integration of diverse cultures in Qingdao. "The Journey of the Island" is the first original youth percussion musical jointly created by Qingdao Xingui International Cultural Exchange Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Percussion Association.
